Bachmann’s ship is sinking

In yet another sign of Michele Bachmann’s political meltdown, pollster Ed Goeas is leaving her presidential campaign.

Goeas will help Bachmann through the next two debates and will then part ways with the campaign as it focuses on Iowa.

“The campaign’s going to focus on retail politics in Iowa and I’m going to focus on other projects not related to the campaign.”

Sounds like the ship is sinking to us.

His departure follows the high-profile exit of campaign manager Ed Rollins.

Rollins then told MSNBC that Bachmann does not have the resources to compete beyond Iowa.

As recently as a couple of months ago, Bachmann looked as if she was running a multi-state strategy, campaigning in New Hampshire and Florida.

Her campaign hit a high-gear when she won the Ames straw poll in August.

Then it died as she was unable to use that momentum to solidify her position as the GOP’s conservative rebel, something that Texas Governor Rick Perry took from her when he entered the race.

The lady never had a chance.
